My Story

Adriaan began his legal career at an international law firm, where he completed his articles in 2013 and 2014. He was admitted as an attorney in 2015 and initially focused on civil and commercial litigation in both the High Court and Magistrate’s Court.

Over time, he developed a strong interest in property law, including property-related litigation, sectional title and homeowners’ association disputes, and general conveyancing. His interest in this area led him to complete the conveyancing examination, and he was admitted as a conveyancer in 2022. Adriaan regularly advises individual and corporate clients on a wide range of property transactions, regulatory compliance, and disputes involving immovable property.

Adriaan joined VST in 2024, where his practice includes property transfers, property disputes, and general property advisory work. He also focuses on insolvency matters and provides specialised legal services to the financial services industry, with a particular emphasis on crypto assets and regulatory compliance. His work in this sector has included providing legal services to a well-known crypto exchange, advising on both operational and compliance aspects of its business in South Africa.
